Android Application Development

For developing applications one can use the means provided by http://developer.android.com . Please have a look at this web site for the appropriate SDK, plugins for eclipse and a lot of samples and tutorials. The development kit will come with a virtual machine (vmware) with a preinstalled development environment for developing and debugging applications.

The kit supports android 4.2.2 and the API level is 17 (http://developer.android.com/about/versions/android-4.2.html) The compatibility tests are not done so far. Please ask emtrion for details.

Components of the virtual machine

Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit with all necessary components needed for developing applications for android:
1. Android Studio ( http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/studio.html )
2. SDK for Jelly Bean 4.2 installed.
