What is i.MX8M?

The i.MX8 series from NXP is a family of application processors. They offer high performance and energy efficiency and are suitable for a wide range of applications. The i.MX8M Mini is ideal for use in embedded systems and can be configured in a variety of ways.

The most important functions and features of i.MX8M

The i.MX8 application processor is based on the ARM Cortex architecture and offers high computing power of up to four ARM Cortex-A53 cores with 1.5 GHz clock frequency as well as one or two 400 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 co-processors.

Thanks to the combination of powerful ARM processor cores and dedicated accelerators for graphics, video, audio and machine learning, even demanding multimedia and AI applications can be implemented efficiently.

The i.MX8 also scores with comprehensive interfaces such as 2x USB2.0, PCIe, GbE, LVDS and MIPI CSI. It supports full HD video and 3D graphics. This makes the processor ideal for use in embedded systems with graphical user interfaces and camera use.
