To configure the display for Linux you have to pass boot arguments to Linux via U-Boot.
This is achieved by modifying the file /boot/uboot_script in the root file system.
The boot argument for the display configuration is of the following form for displays conforming to VESA timings.
video=mxcfb0:dev=,xM@,if=,bpp=16
can be one of: “ldb”, “hdmi” and “lcd”.
should be “RGB666” for LCD and “RGB24” for HDMI.
For LVDS the color format depends on the display.
Please note that when using an LVDS display with the 3.10.53 kernel you will have to configure the display timings in the device tree blob. The device tree source is contained in the kernel source package available on the emtrion cloud.
