Measuring technology
Networked measurement systems, also known as smart metering systems, play a central role in Industry 4.0. The smart meter gateway is an important component. Measuring amplifiers and recording systems can record physical parameters such as temperature, light, movement, as well as analog electrical parameters such as voltage, current and frequency via the use of sensors.
For networked data acquisition, the measuring system must have the appropriate fieldbus and IT interfaces, such as CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Profibus and EtherCAT.
