The DIMM-Argon module is now available as the official successor to the DIMM-SH7723 module. The STM32MP157 heterogeneous multicore processor from STMicroelectronics is used to fulfill the requirements of previous SH7723 projects and is an ideal choice for future new developments.
With its 8 GB eMMC memory, the module has plenty of storage space. The DIMM-Argon module also offers better performance than its predecessor with a clock speed of up to 650 MHz and 512 MB RAM memory.
The module has the STM32 MPU OpenSTLinux distribution software for the main processor and the STM32CubeMP1 software for the co-processor. With the latest software versions and Yocto support, long-term availability of 10 years is guaranteed.
The renewed use of this processor demonstrates its future viability and brings further growth to the DIMM and Argon family from emtrion.
